Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Swisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Swisher!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swisher has closed the distance and engaged Hunter in a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hunter.

Swisher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hunter lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Swisher throws a solid leg kick but Hunter takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Swisher.

Hunter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hunter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Swisher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Swisher keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Swisher is trying to reverse the position but instead Hunter has taken his back - oops!
Hunter is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Hunter gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Hunter gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Hunter apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Swisher clinches up with Hunter and pushes him back against the cage.
Hunter could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Swisher tries to pull guard but Hunter won't allow it.
Hunter stalling the fight.
Swisher can't break the clinch.
Hunter is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Swisher connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hunter's face.
Hunter wants a takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunter lands a nice shot to the body.
Swisher stalling in the clinch but Hunter improves position.
Swisher unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hunter lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hunter slows down the pace here.
Hunter is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Swisher is keeping busy.
Swisher misses with a knee strike.
Hunter controlling the action here for a moment.
Swisher landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Swisher gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Hunter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Swisher is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Swisher postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hunter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Swisher, into his guard.
Swisher looks gassed!
Hunter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hunter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Swisher is looking for a triangle but Hunter pushes his legs off easily.
Hunter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Hunter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Swisher has taken the fight to the clinch.
Swisher creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Swisher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hunter avoids the head kick by Swisher.
Swisher takes one to the side of the head.
Nice takedown defense from Swisher. No joy for Hunter on that attempt.
Hunter's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Hunter duly obliges.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Swisher tries to clinch up but Hunter circles away and keeps his distance.
Hunter misses with a wild body shot.
Swisher stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Swisher takes a kick to the side of the head.
Swisher throws a chopping leg kick but Hunter manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Hunter rushes Swisher and presses him up against the cage.
Hunter looking to slow down the pace here.
Hunter is trying to break the clinch but Swisher has him pressed against the cage.

Hunter leaning against his opponent.
Swisher trying to land knees to the body.

Hunter avoiding damage as Swisher throws knees to the body.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Hunter lands a nice knee to the body.
Hunter tries to score a body lock takedown but Swisher shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hunter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Swisher crunches a lovely knee into Hunter's ribcage.
Hunter is pressed up against the cage. Swisher has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hunter down to the mat. Hunter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Swisher bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Swisher fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Swisher scores with a couple of short elbows.
Hunter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hunter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Swisher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swisher is looking to take a break and control but Hunter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Swisher is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hunter has escaped the position, nice work there.
Swisher trying to control the position but Hunter is working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Swisher tries to move to mount but Hunter blocks the move with his legs.
Swisher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunter keeps working.
Hunter tries to buck Swisher off but Swisher is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hunter.
Swisher avoids a punch combination nicely.
A head kick misses from Hunter.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hunter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Swisher moves away.

Hunter darts in and clinches Swisher up against the cage.
Swisher blocks a body shot from Hunter.
Swisher tries to stall but Hunter uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Swisher takes a shot to the head.
Swisher is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hunter is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimmy Hunter dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Horrible takedown by Swisher or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter which made him look bad.
Hunter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Swisher.
Swisher scoring well with a low kick there.
Jimmy Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hunter throws a right hand that Swisher ducks under and follows up with a left that Swisher also avoids with ease.

Swisher closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Swisher lands in his opponent's guard.
Hunter lands with a heel strike from the guard.
Swisher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hunter looking for a sweep. Not yet Hunter, not yet.
Swisher looking to sit in guard and control but Hunter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Swisher manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hunter is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Swisher has hold of Hunter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hunter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Swisher is breathing heavily.
Hunter is trying to escape the mount.

Swisher moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hunter has worked his arm free - good work by Hunter!
Hunter manages to get back to half guard.
Hunter gets full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunter is on top in guard.
Swisher wants to sweep here but Hunter controlling him for the moment.

Swisher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Swisher pulls Hunter in close to prevent any damage.
Swisher striking off his back but it's not causing Hunter any problems.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Swisher is on top in guard.
Swisher won't allow Hunter to sweep him here.
Swisher passes Hunter's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Swisher is stalling here. Hunter is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Swisher seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hunter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Swisher wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Swisher tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hunter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Swisher is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Hunter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Swisher gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Swisher is pressing down on Hunter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Swisher has his feet on Hunter's thighs here. He's pushed Hunter off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hunter screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
