Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, George Armani!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Nelson. No joy for Armani on that attempt.

Nelson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nelson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nelson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nelson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Armani for as long as he can get away with.
Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Armani swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nelson has hold of Armani's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Armani manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Nelson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nelson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
