The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Napalm takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

A decent looking cross lands there for Costa.
Costa defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Napalm.
Napalm shoots in looking for a takedown. Costa tries to sprawl out of it but Napalm keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Costa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Costa throws a nice looking combination but Napalm bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Napalm shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Napalm was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Costa is looking to improve his position but Napalm isn't that keen on the idea.

Napalm goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Costa turns into him and now he's in Napalm's guard.

Napalm manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Costa manages to get himself to full guard.

Costa wants to sweep here but Napalm controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Napalm postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Costa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Napalm, into his guard.
Costa is pushing down on Napalm's leg trying to pass to half guard. Napalm is fighting to maintain full guard but Costa has managed to sneak the leg through.
Costa wants to pass the guard but Napalm is defending well.

Napalm might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Napalm manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Napalm is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Costa has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Napalm has control of Costa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Costa regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Costa sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Costa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Napalm moves into full mount! Costa won't be happy about that!

Costa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Costa scores with a hook to the body. Napalm takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Napalm shoots in but no luck this time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Costa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Napalm's hands.
Costa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
No luck for Napalm with that takedown attempt.

Costa cracks Napalm with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Napalm tries to move into range but Costa moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Costa stuffs the takedown attempt from Napalm. Napalm gets slowly back to his feet.

Costa lands with a right and another and another! Napalm is in big trouble! Costa lands again and this time it's lights out for Napalm! A quality knockout there for Costa.
