The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lola lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smith at a distance.

Smith has closed the distance and engaged Lola in a clinch.

Smith breaks the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Lola drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smith dives on top into guard.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lola swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smith wants to stand but Lola is controlling his posture from full guard.

Smith is looking to stand up but Lola won't let him.
Lola looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there.
Smith wants to stand but Lola has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Lola is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Smith frees his head nicely. Oh but Lola has switched to an armbar! Smith is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
