Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Vantinnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Varas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vantinnen comes to the cage accompanied by Pantera-"Walk". Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mikko Vantinnen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Timmy Varas!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vantinnen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Varas ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Varas no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Timmy Varas has got the better of the ground game so far.

Varas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vantinnen defends well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mikko Vantinnen will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Timmy Varas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Varas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
