Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Alscott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dextor Lavy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alscott comes to the cage accompanied by Big Wigly Style - The Devil Wears Prada. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dextor Lavy!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alscott tries to close the distance and clinch but Lavy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lavy drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lavy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Lavy wants to control from the top but Alscott keeps moving.
Lavy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lavy throwing strikes but missing.

Alscott had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lavy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Alscott Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lavy's back instead.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Alscott cracks Lavy with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Lavy from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Alscott is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lavy defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Alscott is trying to stick to Lavy's back but Lavy is turning into Alscott. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Alscott's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lavy.
Lavy is working Alscott over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Alscott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lavy drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Lavy as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Alscott screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Lavy! Nice submission victory there!
