The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Aarnio.

Aarnio tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Jormas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jormas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aarnio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jormas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Aarnio wants to get back to his feet but Jormas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Aarnio pushes Jormas away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jormas gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Jormas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
