Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Soon Tu Nuke Yu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Smith!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nuke Yu pushes Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smith struggles to land a body shot inside as Nuke Yu controls his hands.

Nuke Yu breaks from the clinch.
Smith tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Nuke Yu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nuke Yu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage.

Nuke Yu turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Smith tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nuke Yu scores with a couple of short elbows.
The ground and pound from Nuke Yu seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Smith tries to improve position but can't.
Nuke Yu lands a decent elbow from side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Smith is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nuke Yu off and has taken his back!

Nuke Yu tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Smith is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Nuke Yu is surviving well by controlling Smith's body position as best he can.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Smith goes for an armbar but Nuke Yu turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Nuke Yu.
Nuke Yu passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Smith manages to get to full guard.
Smith manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Smith is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nuke Yu can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Smith wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Smith has control of Nuke Yu's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nuke Yu regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Smith has isolated one of Nuke Yu's arms. Nuke Yu looking to fight him off but Smith twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
