The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
AbdulJabbar pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fighters circle momentarily. AbdulJabbar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches AbdulJabbar napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. AbdulJabbar knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jones is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. AbdulJabbar is trying to escape and Jones transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and AbdulJabbar is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jones! Very nice indeed!
