Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Arab sprawls well initially but da Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Arab wants to get back to his feet.
da Silva not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Arab on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Arab connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed da Silva momentarily.
It looks like Preuss da Silva has been cut.

da Silva takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Arab scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arab swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Arab rushes da Silva with punches - da Silva moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, da Silva goes down! Arab follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Osama Arab!
