Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Meriu Crinichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vick Rub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rub has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Meriu Crinichi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Rub misses.
Crinichi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rub swivels and escapes.
Rub looks to land a left hand but Crinichi moved out of range nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Crinichi.
Crinichi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Crinichi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rub defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Meriu Crinichi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crinichi closes the distance and clinches up with Rub, looking for a takedown. Crinichi pushes Rub against the cage but Rub circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rub gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Crinichi takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Meriu Crinichi has been cut.
Crinichi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rub avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Crinichi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rub walks away with a smile on his face. Crinichi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Crinichi dives in and grabs Rub's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rub pushes down on Crinichi's head and hops out.
Rub clobbers Crinichi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Crinichi takes one to the side of the head.
Crinichi fails to land the takedown.
Crinichi ducks right into an uppercut from Rub.
Crinichi dives in and grabs Rub's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rub pushes down on Crinichi's head and hops out.
Crinichi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rub defends it nicely.

Crinichi with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Crinichi has control of Rub's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rub regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Crinichi won't let Rub get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
