The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bilko clinches with his opponent.
Bilko throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Bilko wants the takedown. Gougeon is fighting it off but Bilko persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gougeon's guard against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bilko postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bilko wants to get up but he can't break Gougeon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gougeon has eaten all the pies!
Gougeon wants to improve his position but Bilko is controlling well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bilko drives through and clinches with Gougeon against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bilko creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bilko pulls Gougeon into guard.
Gougeon passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bilko flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gougeon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
