Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Milani Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua comes to the cage accompanied by Armin Van Buuren - Sail. Steve East looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rua gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Rua escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
East tries to clinch
and Rua counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rua smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Rua has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

East gets caught flat footed, as Rua shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rua has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rua gets to his feet - East follows without any prompting.
Steve East seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rua shoots in for a double leg but East sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rua throws a nice inside leg kick.
Rua fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Good exchange - Rua coming out on top.
Rua lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

East shoots and misses
and Rua counters with a good low kick that East was not able to check.
East looks gassed!

Rua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has East pinned against the cage. East gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milani Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rua feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to East's calf.
East wants to clinch but Rua slips to the side

and Rua counters with a nice double leg into guard.

East looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
East has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Rua has passed into side control.
East manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Rua is not content to let East control the position.

East is looking for a kimura but Rua is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for East to get the leverage.

Rua kicks East off and gets back to his feet.
Left hook, right uppercut from Rua.
Rua throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
East misses with a jab to the body
and Rua counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rua circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rua counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rua misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Rua clinches up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
East is trying to break the clinch but Rua has him pressed against the cage.

Rua changes levels and goes for a takedown here. East fights it off and pushes away nicely.
East gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rua counters with a series of strikes. East will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rua moves into the clinch.

East jumps guard.

Rua has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing East to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Rua is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - East pulls down on the head and he's put Rua to sleep! This one is all over!
