The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
balboa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ezekiel.
Ezekiel looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Ezekiel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

balboa turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and balboa manages to end up in side control.

balboa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ezekiel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

balboa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ezekiel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

balboa loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ezekiel scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from balboa land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. balboa stands and salutes the crowd.
