Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Dee Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dixon.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Penn stalks Dixon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dixon's face. Dixon staggers backwards, shaken.

Penn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Penn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dixon defends well.
Dixon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Penn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dixon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Penn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dixon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Penn is pressed up against the cage. Dixon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Penn down to the mat. Penn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Matthew Dixon seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Dixon misses with a shot to the body
and Penn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dixon scores with a sloppy right hand. Penn should have avoided that one.
Dixon thuds his right hand into Penn's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Dixon cracks Penn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Dixon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Penn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Penn jumps guard but Dixon stands there with Penn around his waist. Penn gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dixon throws a leg kick but Penn sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Dixon throws out a loose jab but Penn uses good head movement to avoid it.

Penn takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Matthew Dixon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Dixon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
