PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mc Jitus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoli Volinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volinov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Soviet March. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Volinov throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jitus.

It looks like Mc Jitus has been cut.

Volinov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Volinov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jitus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jitus drops back, looking for a kneebar! Volinov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Volinov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Volinov!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jitus drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Volinov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jitus has Volinov in his guard.

Volinov walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jitus throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Volinov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jitus pinned against the cage. Jitus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jitus lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jitus stalks Volinov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Volinov's face. Volinov staggers backwards, shaken.

A head kick lands from Jitus that sends Volinov to the canvas. Volinov tries to scramble back to his feet but Jitus brings him back down into side control.

Jitus wants to finish this one by submission but Volinov is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jitus.
The referee warns Volinov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Jitus cracks Volinov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jitus connects with a nice short shot to Volinov's temple.
