Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Thomson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mads Jorgesen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomson throws a looping overhand right but Jorgesen ducks down to avoid it.
No luck for Thomson with that takedown attempt.
Jorgesen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Thomson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jorgesen as he jumps to the side.

Jorgesen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thomson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jorgesen stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Jorgesen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thomson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jorgesen throws a strike aimed at the side of Thomson's head but Thomson avoids it well.

Jorgesen misses with a low kick.
Jorgesen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thomson defends it nicely.
Thomson throws a head kick that misses.
Thomson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Thomson scores with a head kick.

It looks like Mads Jorgesen has been cut.
Thomson throws a head kick but Jorgesen moves out of range.

Jorgesen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jorgesen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Thomson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jorgesen slows the pace down in half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jorgesen uses his free foot to push down on Thomson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Thomson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jorgesen moves out of range of the body kick.
Thomson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Thomson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thomson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Jorgesen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jorgesen lands in his opponent's guard.
Jorgesen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Thomson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Thomson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jorgesen on the ground.
Jorgesen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jorgesen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jorgesen tries to free his leg and advance position but Thomson is retaining full guard.

Jorgesen stands up and waves to Thomson to follow him.

Jorgesen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thomson can pounce on him.
Jason Thomson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Jorgesen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Thomson!

Thomson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Jorgesen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Thomson is forced to tap!
