Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kirill Stein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Jackson does no damage.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson is looking to land body kicks.
Jackson misses with a low kick.
Jon Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Stein avoids them all with ease.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stein manages to avoid it.

Stein dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Stein's head and hops out.
Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Stein.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet.

Jackson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Jackson throws a push kick but Stein slaps the foot to one side.

Stein shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stein moves away.
Jon Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Stein is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jackson.

Stein displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jackson throws out the jab.

Stein could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jon Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
