Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus OConnor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hawaiian Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawaiian Saint has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OConnor shoots in for a double leg but Saint sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Saint misses the jab.
OConnor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Saint swivels and escapes.
OConnor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Saint's waist but Saint gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing OConnor off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus OConnor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from OConnor.
OConnor slips a jab and a cross from Saint.
OConnor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

OConnor shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Saint manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

OConnor wants to pass the guard but Saint is keeping the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

OConnor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
OConnor is breathing heavily.
Saint throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Saint slaps away a takedown attempt from OConnor, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Saint is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

OConnor gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Saint to score an easy takedown into full guard.

OConnor is rocked!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Saint gets to his feet. OConnor looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Oh OConnor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Saint scores with a hook to the body. OConnor takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
OConnor seems to have got his legs back now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
OConnor slips a straight right by Saint.

Saint cracks OConnor with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Saint has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning OConnor to stand back up!
OConnor drops his hands momentarily. Saint doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. OConnor staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. OConnor doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
