PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Zeitzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Con Dumas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Con Dumas told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Zeitzer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Con Dumas!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumas tries to clinch but Zeitzer is having none of it.
Zeitzer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck for Dumas with that takedown attempt.
Dumas dives in and grabs Zeitzer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zeitzer pushes down on Dumas's head and hops out.
Ivan Zeitzer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Con Dumas.
Dumas shoots in but Zeitzer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dumas looks to land a left hand but Zeitzer moved out of range nicely.
Zeitzer throws a leg kick which misses Dumas's front leg but catches the back leg as Dumas tries to avoid it.
Dumas misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Zeitzer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dumas.
Dumas looks gassed!
A shot to the liver by Zeitzer. Beautiful body shot.
A jab from Zeitzer finds it's way through Dumas's defenses.
Zeitzer lands with a kick to the temple. Dumas shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Con Dumas has been cut.
Zeitzer moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zeitzer lands with a nice combination. Dumas backs away looking to recover.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dumas tries to move into range but Zeitzer moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Zeitzer lands with a straight right. Dumas didn't see that one coming.
Dumas takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Zeitzer drops Dumas with a beautiful combination! Dumas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Zeitzer is looking for the KO!
Zeitzer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Zeitzer lands with a big left! Dumas is wobbled badly! Zeitzer comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Dumas to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
