Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rich shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Powers looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rich wants to stand but Powers has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Rich not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Powers is looking to escape.
Rich thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Powers is refusing to be controlled, as Rich sits in half guard.
Rich sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Powers defending well though.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rich looks for a takedown but Powers sprawls well.
Powers misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rich tries to score a power double leg takedown but Powers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rich somewhat.
Rich lands with an uppercut that bounces Powers off the cage and back into rage.
It looks like Max Powers has been cut.
Rich shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Powers but Powers pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Max Powers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of D J Rich.

Powers throws a series of punches but Rich moves out of range.

Rich shoots in and bounces Powers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Richis looking to pass into half guard but Powers pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Powers is in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Powers passes Rich's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Rich gets full guard.
Powers postures up in Rich's guard and throws a big left but Rich blocks it.
Powers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rich has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Powers has managed to get both his arms back between Rich's legs - danger averted.
Rich has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Powers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Rich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Powers manages to get himself to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rich blocks a jab.

Rich pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Powers tries to bum rush Rich with a series of wild strikes but Rich uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Powers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rich dodges the punch combination from Powers.
Rich shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Rich is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rich thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Powers's head.
Rich passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Powers!
Powers is squirming around, avoiding Rich's attempts to control the action.
Rich fails to move to back control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Powers is trying to stand but he's just given Rich his back.
Rich has got one arm under Powers's chin. This could be trouble... Powers trying to control the other hand but Rich gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Powers has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). D J Rich!
