Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dynamite Roll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dynamite Roll!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harper clobbers Roll with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Roll fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harper avoids it really well and circles away.
Nice shot by Harper.
Harper lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Roll displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Harper throws out the jab.
Harper lands a head kick. Roll smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Roll looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Harper is fending him off so far but Roll persists. Nope, Harper circles away and we're back to standing.
Harper fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Roll.
Roll fails with a takedown attempt.
Daniel Harper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dynamite Roll.
Harper throws a right hand that Roll ducks under and follows up with a left that Roll also avoids with ease.
Nice sprawl there from Harper as Roll shoots in.

Harper lands with a hook. Roll tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Harper scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Roll just misses with a punch to the body.
Roll checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Roll goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Roll walks into a straight right hand from Harper.
No joy there for Roll, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Roll shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harper sprawls well. Harper wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roll gets slowly back to his feet.
Harper scores with a jab to the head.
Harper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Harper scores with a spinning back kick!
Roll takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harper throws the kick towards the body but Roll avoids it.
Roll goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Roll takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Harper gets off balance looking for a body kick
enabling Roll to counter with a crisp jab.

Roll closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Harper is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Roll's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Roll's back!
Harper is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Harper gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Harper gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Harper apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Harper misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Roll.
Roll takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Roll misses with a series of wild punches.

Harper scores with a kick to the midsection.
Roll looks gassed!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Roll is looking to break free of the clinch but Harper has double underhooks.
Harper makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Roll blocks a body shot from Harper.
A short right from Harper.
Harper lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Roll backwards.
Harper tries a body shot but Roll blocks it.
Roll has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Still in the clinch, Harper scores with a nice short uppercut.
Roll tries a body shot but Harper blocks it.
Harper digs a right hand into Roll's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Roll's gas tank.
Roll can't find room to land a body shot as Harper controls the action.

Roll wants to get back to striking at distance but Harper won't allow it.
Roll stalling.
Harper works on Roll's body with a couple of short punches.

Harper lands a nice shot to the body.
Roll lands a hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Harper scores with a shoulder strike.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Harper.
A short body shot lands from Harper as the two fighters clinch.
Roll tries to break free but Harper pushes him back against the cage.
Harper lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Roll.
Harper digs a right hand into Roll's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Roll's gas tank.
Harper lands a left hand.
Harper working some nice short punches in the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Roll is rocked!
Harper is leaning against Roll and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Harper presses Roll against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Harper jabs Roll right on the nose. Roll blinks but takes it well.
Roll is still on wobbly legs! Can Harper finish him?
Roll misses with the combination.
Roll seems to have recovered his senses.

Harper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Roll was well out of range. Poor timing from Harper.
Harper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roll paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A telegraphed right hand from Harper misses the target.
Roll shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harper scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Harper keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Roll closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harper is trying to get back to full guard.
Roll is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harper moves into full guard.
Roll trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Harper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Roll's guard.
Harper trying to control but Roll is working from the bottom.
Harper throws a big right hand that misses.
Harper wants to control from the top but Roll keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Roll isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Harper stacks Roll on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Harper!
Harper tries to advance to mount but Roll denies him.
Roll is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Harper off and has taken his back!
Harper looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Harper is trying to stand back up.

Harper is taking damage to the body and head.
Harper is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Harper avoids the strikes from Roll.
Roll trying to control.
Roll has the hooks in. Harper is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Harper looking very determined here, making life difficult for Roll.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Roll is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daniel Harper will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Roll uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Harper.
Roll lands a nice hook to Harper's body. Harper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Roll falls off balance throwing a combination
and Harper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Roll closes the distance but Harper moves to the side
and Harper counters with a leg kick.
Roll chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Harper can pounce on him.
Harper looks to score with a jab to the body but Roll is just out of range.
Harper swats away the attempt to clinch by Roll.
Roll avoids the head kick by Harper.

Harper moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Roll closes the distance but Harper moves to the side
and Harper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Roll changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Harper looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Roll wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harper keeps working.
Roll takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Harper is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Roll asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Roll moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Roll is looking to take a break and control but Harper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Harper tries to improve position but can't.

Harper is working hard here to advance position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Roll fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Harper sprawls well initially but Roll persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Roll is looking for a kimura here.
Daniel Harper is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Roll stops Harper from getting back to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Dynamite Roll.
I think Harper has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
