Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bullet Bookem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bookem comes to the cage accompanied by Solitaire Unraveling. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bullet Bookem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zack Miller!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller thows a left - swing and a miss!
Miller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Miller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bookem avoids it really well and circles away.
Miller slips a jab from Bookem.
Bookem loads up on a big right hand but Miller slips the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Bookem throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bookem comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bookem misses with a hook. Miller ducked under it nicely.

Miller uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bookem.

Bookem throws the left hand but Miller avoids the punch easily.

and Miller counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bookem doesn't manage to clinch there - Miller circles away.
Bookem dodges the punch combination from Miller.

Miller tries to bum rush Bookem with a series of wild strikes but Bookem uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Miller moves out of range as Bookem strikes.
Miller works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Horrible takedown by Miller or perhaps it was just good defense by Bookem which made him look bad.

Bullet Bookem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zack Miller.

Bookem is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Miller's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Bookem punishes Miller's body with a nice straight punch.
Miller stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Miller wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Miller avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Miller is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bookem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bookem throws a big shot that misses.
Zack Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Miller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bookem tries to avoid it but Miller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bookem to the ground. Bookem escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No joy there for Miller, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Bookem connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bookem walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Miller drops his hands momentarily and Bookem takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Miller tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bookem sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Miller somewhat.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bookem lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bookem looks to land a strike but Miller avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Miller wriggles free and stands up.
Bullet Bookem is winning the standup battle so far.
Miller slips a jab from Bookem.

Miller drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Bookem had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miller defends it easily.

Bookem pushes Miller off and gets back to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Miller cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bookem is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miller's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miller's back!
Miller is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Bookem off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Bookem lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bookem is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bookem connects with a nice short shot to Miller's temple.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bookem tries for a takedown but Miller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miller scores with a three punch combo!
Miller throws a series of punches but Bookem moves out of range.
Bookem scores with a sloppy right hand. Miller should have avoided that one.
Bullet Bookem is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bookem tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miller paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Zack Miller.
Well Bookem has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
