Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henning Wehland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wehland has chosen Pirates as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wehland tries for a takedown but Conway sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wehland takes a swing at Conway's ribcage but misses.
Conway looks to land a combination but Wehland avoids it well.

James Conway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conway is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Conway is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round but I would say that James Conway will probably get the nod.

Wehland drops back looking for a leg! Conway is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Conway manages to kick Wehland off! Wehland jumps back into Conway's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Conway, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
