Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rip Wrangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leland Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leland Tucker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rip Wrangler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leland Tucker!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tucker swinging wildly here.
Tucker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Wrangler clinches up against the cage.
Tucker looking for a takedown.
Wrangler is pressed up against the cage. Tucker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wrangler down to the mat. Wrangler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rip Wrangler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leland Tucker.
Tucker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wrangler defends it nicely.

Wrangler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Tucker takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Tucker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wrangler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wrangler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Tucker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tucker.
Wrangler pulls Tucker in close to prevent any damage.
Wrangler is trying to keep Tucker in close.
Tucker stops Wrangler from standing up.
Wrangler pulls Tucker in close to prevent any damage.
Wrangler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tucker's guard.

Wrangler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Wrangler stands and steps away. Tucker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Wrangler decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wrangler is trying to control. Tucker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Tucker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wrangler is working away from the top position though.
Wrangler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tucker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rip Wrangler.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wrangler scores with a hook to the body.
Tucker wants to break free but Wrangler has control.

Wrangler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tucker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tucker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wrangler sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Wrangler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wrangler lands in his opponent's guard.

Tucker is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tucker keeping moving, preventing Wrangler from controlling successfully.

Wrangler stands up from Tucker's guard - Wrangler perhaps looking for a knockout.
Tucker tries for a takedown but Wrangler circles away easily

and Wrangler counters with a takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rip Wrangler dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Tucker doesn't manage to clinch there - Wrangler circles away.

and Tucker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wrangler's guard.
Tucker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wrangler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tucker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wrangler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tucker tries to stand but Wrangler is controlling from the bottom.

Wrangler had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tucker defends it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tucker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wrangler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tucker defends well.

Tucker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Tucker has his hands clasped together but Wrangler extends an breaks Tucker's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Wrangler.
