The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyun tries to close the distance and clinch but Ramos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hyun misses with a double jab.

Hyun clinches.

Ramos is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hyun is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ramos to the mat. Ramos regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Ramos wants to sweep here but Hyun controlling him for the moment.
Ramos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hyun. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ramos tries to move into range but Hyun moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hyun has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hyun lands a nice hook to Ramos's body. Ramos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Hyun closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hyun lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hyun shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ramos manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ramos wants to stand up but Hyun is controlling him.

Hyun gets to his feet - Ramos follows without any prompting.

Hyun has managed to clinch.

Hyun breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hyun misses with the combination.

Hyun tries to free his leg and advance position but Ramos is retaining full guard.

Hyun stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramos swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ramos is working an open guard so Hyun takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hyun throws a big shot that misses.
Ramos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Ramos counters with a series of strikes. Hyun will be more careful next time no doubt.

Ramos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hyun pushes Ramos up against the cage in a clinch.

Hyun's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ramos.

Hyun shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ramos is trying to defend but Hyun finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Hyun not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Hyun decides to stand up.
Ramos fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hyun throws a half hearted mid kick.
Chance Hyun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hyun avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hyun looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ramos takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chance Hyun dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ramos fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Hyun counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ramos won't be happy with that.

Ramos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hyun wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Chance Hyun overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ramos takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Ramos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hyun asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Hyun in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Ramos is breathing heavily.

Hyun is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ramos looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hyun gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ramos is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hyun lets go of the hold and Ramos can pop his arm back in it's socket.
