Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcos Dos Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sheamus OMally!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Marcos Dos Santos has been cut.
Dos Santos is trying hard to land a takedown here. OMally sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
OMally scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Dos Santos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. OMally was covering up waiting for the punch and Dos Santos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dos Santos's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dos Santos drops back looking for a leg! OMally is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and OMally manages to kick Dos Santos off! Dos Santos jumps back into OMally's guard.
OMally really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dos Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dos Santos stops OMally from standing up.
Dos Santos showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Dos Santos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dos Santos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
OMally keeping full guard, as Dos Santos tries to pass.
OMally keeping moving, preventing Dos Santos from controlling successfully.
Dos Santos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
OMally is trying to control the position but Dos Santos postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dos Santos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dos Santos shoots in for a takedown but OMally shows good takedown defense.

OMally uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Dos Santos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
OMally is looking to stand up but Dos Santos isn't so interested in that idea.

OMally wants to sweep here but Dos Santos controlling him for the moment.
OMally is controlling Dos Santos's posture.
Dos Santos stands and throws OMally's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if OMally can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dos Santos wants to lay and pray for a moment but OMally keeps working.

Dos Santos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
OMally tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dos Santos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dos Santos lands a nice forearm strike.
Dos Santos fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Dos Santos is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but OMally is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
OMally tries to bench press Dos Santos off him but Dos Santos keeps the position.
Dos Santos postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dos Santos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dos Santos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
OMally tries to buck Dos Santos off but Dos Santos is having none of it.

Dos Santos stands up and beckons OMally to his feet.
Dos Santos is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
OMally connects with a right hand. Dos Santos shakes it off.
Dos Santos staying out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sheamus OMally dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Marcos Dos Santos's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


OMally with a lazy takedown attempt

and Dos Santos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in OMally's guard now.
OMally keeping moving, preventing Dos Santos from controlling successfully.
Dos Santos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Dos Santos tries to free his leg and advance position but OMally is retaining full guard.
OMally is looking to stand up but Dos Santos isn't so interested in that idea.

OMally is working an open guard so Dos Santos takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Dos Santos misses with a takedown
and OMally counters with a stiff right hand.
Dos Santos shoots in but no luck this time.
Dos Santos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and OMally counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcos Dos Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
OMally misses with a looping right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
OMally cracks Dos Santos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dos Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says OMally as he avoids it easily.
Dos Santos has his takedown stuffed
and OMally counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
OMally throws a right and a left that both miss.

OMally drops Dos Santos with a beautiful combination! Dos Santos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - OMally is looking for the KO!

OMally darts in and clinches Dos Santos up against the cage.
Dos Santos wants a takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OMally pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dos Santos misses with a takedown attempt - OMally sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dos Santos is on the wrong end of a nice combination from OMally.


Dos Santos is rocked!
OMally connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Dos Santos out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sheamus OMally!
