Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Litran Kossu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacare Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kossu comes to the cage accompanied by Holy Diver - Dio. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kossu throws the left hand but Souza avoids the punch easily.
Kossu works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Souza misses with a low kick.
A low kick from Kossu is predictable there
and Souza finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Kossu throws a big shot that misses.
Souza swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Souza is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kossu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Litran Kossu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kossu will feel that in the morning.
Souza has a takedown stuffed.
Kossu lands a nice hook to Souza's body. Souza takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Souza.
Souza throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kossu.

It looks like Litran Kossu has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Souza on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kossu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Souza's waist but Souza gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kossu off to one side.
Kossu throws a head kick that misses.
Souza throws a leg kick but Kossu sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Kossu loads up on a big right hand but Souza slips the punch.

Kossu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kossu lands with a thumping leg kick.

Kossu scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Souza is trying to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souza is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kossu pulls his head out easily.

Souza is desperately trying to improve his position but Kossu has a good base and remains in mount.
Souza is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Kossu wants to finish this one by submission but Souza is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kossu.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kossu manages to capitalize on a mistake by Souza to take his back!
Kossu lands punches and elbows.

Souza is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kossu gets his way!
Kossu is trying to stick to Souza's back but Souza is turning into Kossu. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kossu's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Souza.

Souza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Souza is trying to land a reversal but Kossu doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle. Kossu is tightening it up though! This could be trouble for Souza! Souza trying desperately to escape but he's gone limp! He's out! Wooooorld class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Kossu!
