Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Derek Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Gangsta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ice Cream Paint Job. Derek Patterson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Gangsta!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gangsta on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gangsta swinging wildly here.
Nice shot by Patterson.
Gangsta takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gangsta fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Patterson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Patterson.
Patterson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Patterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gangsta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Patterson.
Patterson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Patterson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gangsta, who protects the arm well.
Patterson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Patterson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gangsta is looking for a sweep.

Gangsta is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Patterson is controlling him well.
Patterson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gangsta knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Patterson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gangsta is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Patterson is breathing heavily.
Patterson is trying to get an arm triangle but Gangsta is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gangsta prevents Patterson from moving into mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gangsta wants to get back to his feet but Patterson drags him back down.
Gangsta is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Patterson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gangsta knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
