Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aerick Flayre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shore Leave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aerick Flayre has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aerick Flayre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shore Leave!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flayre ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Leave moves away.
Flayre throws a sloppy head kick and Leave moves out of range easily.

Leave shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Leave lands a nice short elbow.
Flayre avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Leave.
Flayre makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Flayre.
Flayre keeping moving, preventing Leave from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Leave throws a big right hand that misses.
Leave working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Leave trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Flayre misses with a body kick.
Aerick Flayre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Flayre throws a sloppy head kick and Leave moves out of range easily.

Leave shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Flayre napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leave tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Leave grinds an elbow into Flayre's temple.

Leave looks up at the clock and then as Flayre takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Leave smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Flayre tries to close the distance and clinch but Leave swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Leave dives in and grabs Flayre's left leg, looking for a takedown. Flayre pushes down on Leave's head and hops out.

Flayre forces Leave back against the cage and clinches.
Leave managing to block the knees to the body from Flayre.
Flayre looking to throw knees to the head but Leave is blocking nicely.

Leave is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Flayre can't fight it off and eventually Leave manages to take the fight to the floor. Flayre looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Leave thows a big elbow that misses.
Leave throws a strike but Flayre rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Flayre wants to pass the guard but Leave is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shore Leave dominated that round.

Leave shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Leave wants to control but Flayre has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Flayre keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Flayre regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Leave.
Leave loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Leave throws a strike but Flayre rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Leave bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flayre's guard.
Leave with a flurry of punches that miss.
Flayre keeping moving, preventing Leave from controlling successfully.
Leave stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flayre swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Leave with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Leave with a flurry of punches that miss.
Leave has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Leave postures up in Flayre's guard and throws a big left but Flayre blocks it.
Leave throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Flayre works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Leave working some strikes from top position.
Leave pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Flayre is keeping the position for now.
Flayre lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Leave!

Flayre can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Leave is looking to escape.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Flayre avoids the attempt from Leave to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leave has given up his back here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Leave can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shore Leave showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Flayre's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



Leave shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Leave showed some decent athleticism there.
Leave throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Leave not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Leave sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Flayre defending well though.
Leave lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

It looks like Shore Leave has been cut.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Leave takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Leave scores a takedown into full mount!
Leave lands a heavy elbow.
Leave lands a nice shot to the head.
Leave thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Leave working Flayre over with strikes here.
Leave postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Flayre looks a forlorn figure.


It looks like Aerick Flayre has been cut.

Leave lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.


Flayre is rocked!


Aerick Flayre's cut is getting worse.
Leave connects with a bit shot that sees Flayre covering up! More strikes from Leave and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Leave is our winner by TKO!
