Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinister Miro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miro has chosen "Beyond the Veil" by TRISTANIA as his entrance music. Sinister Miro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabe Silva!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sinister Miro!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Silva misses the target.
Miro fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva tries to clinch there but Miro circles away.
Miro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Miro.
Miro thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch combination from Miro misses.
Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Miro misses with a jab, cross combination.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miro's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miro wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Miro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Miro manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Miro's guard.
Miro wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Silva throws a big right hand that misses.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Miro pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miro moves away from the strike by Silva.
Silva tries to clinch up but Miro circles away and keeps his distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silva misses the body punch
and Miro counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Silva is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Miro tries to land a front kick but Silva steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Miro throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.
Sinister Miro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Miro counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Miro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Miro throws a chopping leg kick but Silva manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Miro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Silva counters with a stiff right hand.
Miro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva misses with a takedown
and Miro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Miro throws a hook but Silva blocks it.

Miro gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Silva looking to slow down the pace here.
Miro is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Silva is looking to control Miro's arms but Miro gets an underhook and turns him. Now Silva has his back to the cage.

Miro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Miro pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Miro misses with a looping left.
Silva closes the distance but Miro moves to the side
and Miro counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Silva thinking.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Miro makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Miro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Miro looks for the body kick but Silva saw that one coming.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Miro throws the kick towards the body but Silva avoids it.
Silva tries to clinch but Miro moves out of range.
Silva slips a jab from Miro.

Miro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Miro is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard.

Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Miro stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Miro!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva wants to control but Miro postures up.

Miro has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Silva is looking to clinch but Miro is avoiding it.

Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.
Miro throws a hook but Silva blocks it.
Miro throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range.
Silva fails with the takedown.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Miro is looking to chop away at Silva's legs.
Silva closes the distance but Miro moves to the side
and Miro counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Miro to acknowledge the strikes.
Silva throws a jab when Miro was well out of range.

Miro misses with a kick to the body
and Silva counters with a nice body shot.
No joy there for Miro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gabe Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Silva lands with a straight right. Miro didn't see that one coming.
Sinister Miro seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nice sprawl there from Miro as Silva shoots in.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Miro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Miro blocks a head kick by Silva.
Sinister Miro is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Miro.
