Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Avon Barksdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chance Walters acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chance Walters!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walters moves out of range of the body kick.
Barksdale stalks Walters and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Walters's face. Walters staggers backwards, shaken.
Barksdale misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barksdale will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Walters is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Barksdale scores a takedown into full mount!
Barksdale controlling the pace for now.
Walters is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Barksdale sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Walters is squirming around, avoiding Barksdale's attempts to control the action.
Walters is looking to improve his position but Barksdale isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barksdale controlling the position easily from mount.
Barksdale has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Barksdale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walters on the ground.
Barksdale can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Walters is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Avon Barksdale just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Barksdale misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Barksdale drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Walters is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Barksdale off and has taken his back!

Walters is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Barksdale has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Walters has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Barksdale taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Walters doesn't care though - he's delighted!
