Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barry Nora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Ferraiuolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferraiuolo has chosen Face the Pain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Barry Nora has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nora closes the distance and pushes Ferraiuolo back into the cage.
Ferraiuolo lands an elbow that stopped Nora in his tracks for a moment.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nora.

Ferraiuolo breaks from the clinch.
Nora throws a right and a left that Ferraiuolo avoids nicely.
Ferraiuolo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nora sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ferraiuolo somewhat.

Ferraiuolo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nora wants to hold on but Ferraiuolo pushes him away.

Nora is breathing heavily.
Ferraiuolo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nora keeps working.
Ferraiuolo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Nora wants to control but Ferraiuolo is keeping busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ferraiuolo decides to stand and escape the position.
Nora is looking to land body kicks.
Nora throws a head kick that misses.
Ferraiuolo looks for a takedown but Nora sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nora is defended easily by Ferraiuolo.
Nora rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ferraiuolo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Ferraiuolo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

No joy there for Nora, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nora tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ferraiuolo swivels and escapes.
Nora misses with a two punch combination.
Nora throws a right hand that Ferraiuolo ducks under and follows up with a left that Ferraiuolo also avoids with ease.

Ferraiuolo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nora is trying to defend but Ferraiuolo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Ferraiuolo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ferraiuolo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ferraiuolo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nora's waist but Nora gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferraiuolo off to one side.

Nora closes the distance and clinches up with Ferraiuolo, looking for a takedown. Nora pushes Ferraiuolo against the cage but Ferraiuolo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ferraiuolo is stalling here. Nora is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ferraiuolo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Nora has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
