Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randsome Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smith Smithson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smithson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Smithson shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gracie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Smithson is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Smithson.

and Smithson counters with a three punch combo that has Gracie backing up. Gracie nods at Smithson to acknowledge the strikes.

Smithson slips a jab from Gracie.
The fight stays on the outside here - Smithson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Smithson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gracie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Smithson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smithson tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position.
Smithson wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Gracie has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Smithson's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Smithson is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Gracie!
