Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Manny Pacyou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan St Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacyou comes to the cage accompanied by Eye Of Tiger. Manny Pacyou is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Manny Pacyou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nathan St Peters!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Peters shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
St Peters trying to control from half guard but Pacyou is working away.
St Peters wants to free his trapped foot but Pacyou is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Pacyou is pressing down on St Peters's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
St Peters looking to pass the guard.

St Peters throwing strikes but missing.

Pacyou kicks St Peters off and gets to his feet.

St Peters changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pacyou looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
St Peters misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Pacyou is trying to control St Peters's posture but St Peters avoids it.
Pacyou is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but St Peters is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Pacyou tries to lock up and control but St Peters gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Pacyou is looking to get to half guard.
St Peters lands a big shot there that rocks Pacyou but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Pacyou is desperately trying to improve his position but St Peters has a good base and remains in mount.
Pacyou tries to hold on but St Peters postures up.
St Peters controlling the position easily from mount.

Pacyou is trying to escape the mount.
Pacyou in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
St Peters unloads with some shots from mount but Pacyou bucks and avoids them well.
St Peters with shots to the head and body - Pacyou looks very uncomfortable down there.

Pacyou is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Pacyou tries to hold on but St Peters pushes him away.
St Peters trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Pacyou working to try and regain half guard.
St Peters looking to ground and pound but Pacyou is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nathan St Peters dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Pacyou shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and St Peters counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by St Peters.
Pacyou wants to get back to his feet but St Peters is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pacyou is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
St Peters is staying active underneath Pacyou, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
St Peters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pacyou. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
St Peters wants to improve his position but Pacyou is controlling well.
Pacyou seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but St Peters does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

St Peters tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Pacyou has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
St Peters keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pacyou is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. St Peters can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pacyou is trying to control here but St Peters has managed to regain half guard.

Pacyou is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pacyou tries to pass to full mount but St Peters defends it.
St Peters is looking for a sweep. Pacyou is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

St Peters is looking to escape.
Pacyou thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed St Peters's head.
St Peters is looking to get back to full guard here but Pacyou has managed to pass to side control instead.
St Peters is in all sorts of trouble here.
Pacyou can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as St Peters is looking to escape.
Pacyou is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because St Peters is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pacyou raining down shots from the mount!
St Peters wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
St Peters tries to reverse the position but Pacyou maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nathan St Peters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Pacyou's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



Pacyou drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
St Peters being controlled for a moment.
Pacyou wants to lay and pray for a moment but St Peters keeps working.
St Peters tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pacyou wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Pacyou trying to control the action but St Peters is working from the bottom.
St Peters is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pacyou off and has taken his back!
St Peters avoiding Pacyou 's attempts to control his hands.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pacyou can't escape the position.
Pacyou trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pacyou rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Pacyou won't allow St Peters to pass to mount.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Pacyou misses with a body punch

and St Peters counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Pacyou trying to control here.
Pacyou manages to get to full guard.
St Peters trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

St Peters wants to control from the top but Pacyou keeps moving.
Nathan St Peters has got the better of the ground game so far.

Pacyou kicks St Peters off and gets to his feet.
St Peters shoots in for a takedown but Pacyou shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Pacyou scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pacyou shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
St Peters is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Manny Pacyou.
I think St Peters has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
