Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David LoPan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David LoPan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David LoPan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LoPan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stevenson swivels and escapes.
LoPan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
LoPan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stevenson's waist but Stevenson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing LoPan off to one side.
Greg Stevenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David LoPan.
LoPan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stevenson is fending him off so far but LoPan persists. Nope, Stevenson circles away and we're back to standing.
Stevenson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
LoPan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stevenson as he jumps to the side.

Stevenson has managed to clinch.
Stevenson jumps guard but LoPan stands there with Stevenson around his waist. Stevenson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Stevenson prevents the takedown attempt.

LoPan jumps guard.
Stevenson slips nicely into half guard.
Stevenson scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Stevenson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stevenson wants to lay and pray for a moment but LoPan keeps working.
LoPan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stevenson is working away from the top position though.

LoPan is trying to get back to full guard.
Stevenson trying to control the action but LoPan is working from the bottom.
LoPan tries to get to full guard but Stevenson has control of the leg.
Stevenson content to control rather than advance.
Stevenson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
LoPan wants to get back to full guard but Stevenson has passed into side control.
LoPan looks gassed!
Stevenson is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. LoPan is in real trouble.

Stevenson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. LoPan defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Stevenson tries to keep control of the position but LoPan is staying busy.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
