Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Dickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Dominguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dickson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to SMC Hoodrats. Ryan Dominguez struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 173.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. George Dickson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ryan Dominguez's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Dickson rushes Dominguez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dickson wants a takedown.
Dickson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dominguez pulls his leg out and moves away.

Dickson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Dominguez is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dickson connects with a nice short shot to Dominguez's temple.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dominguez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dominguez is defending against the submission attempts here by Dickson.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dominguez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dickson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dickson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dominguez is just riding it out for now. Dickson eventually gives up the hold.

Dickson moves in looking to clinch but Dominguez pushes him off.

Dickson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dominguez sprawls well initially but Dickson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dickson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dominguez hang on?
The referee warns Dominguez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Dickson has an Americana. Dominguez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dickson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dickson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
