Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ue throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mathews's waist but Mathews gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ue off to one side.
Ue closes the distance and clinches up with Mathews, looking for a takedown. Ue pushes Mathews against the cage but Mathews circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ue shoots in but no luck this time.
Brian Mathews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Q Ue.
Mathews misses with a takedown attempt - Ue sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ue stuffs the takedown attempt from Mathews. Mathews gets slowly back to his feet.
Ue takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mathews darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Mathews is looking to stand up but Ue isn't so interested in that idea.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ue accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mathews is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Mathews gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Ue is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mathews has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mathews!
Ue striking off his back but it's not causing Mathews any problems.

Ue has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mathews can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ue had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mathews is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ue Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mathews's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ue has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Mathews is in real trouble here. Ue gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Mathews is tapping out! Ue wins by rear naked choke!
