The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Lawson lands a slapping body shot.
Lawson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lawson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lawson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Lawson.
A left lands for Lawson.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lawson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of Jones 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jones throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lawson.
Lawson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lawson throws out the jab.
Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lawson.
Some bone on bone action there as Lawson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lawson checks a leg kick.
A swing and a miss from Lawson.
Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lawson throws out the jab.

Lawson takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Jones on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nice body punch from Lawson.
Jones looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lawson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jones falls backwards - clearly groggy! Lawson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
