Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masakatsu Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karen Darabedyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gomi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lose Yourself. Darabedyan has chosen KDB Highlights as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Darabedyan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Gomi lands a right hook to the body.

Darabedyan throws a series of punches but Gomi avoids them all with ease.
Gomi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Darabedyan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Gomi shoots in looking for a takedown. Darabedyan tries to sprawl out of it but Gomi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Darabedyan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masakatsu Gomi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Darabedyan swings wildly with an uppercut but Gomi uses good head movement to avoid it.

Gomi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Darabedyan throws and elbow that misses. Gomi uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Darabedyan's guard. Nice move by Gomi!
Gomi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gomi seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Darabedyan for as long as he can get away with.

Darabedyan is trying to trip Gomi. He has hold of a leg but Gomi is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Darabedyan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Gomi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Darabedyan defends it easily.

Darabedyan is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gomi has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Darabedyan is looking to defend but Gomi has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Darabedyan! Gomi pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Darabedyan taps out and this one is all over!
