The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombardi thuds his right hand into Collins's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Dale Collins has been cut.
Collins cracks Lombardi with a good jab.
Lombardi misses with a wild combination.
Nice takedown defense from Lombardi. No joy for Collins on that attempt.
Collins misses with a few strikes there.
Collins tries to clinch up.

and Collins makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lombardi really felt that one!

Collins lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Collins shoots in for a takedown but Lombardi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Collins counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lombardi is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Collins shoots in but Lombardi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lombardi sizes up Collins with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Collins is rocked!
That has opened up Dale Collins's cut even more.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Lombardi has cracked Collins with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Lombardi lands another huge swinging hook and Collins tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Collins, before Lombardi can land any more shots!
