Shamrock has chosen Smells Like Teen Spirit as his entrance music. Jason Shamrock has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Roy Jones's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones clinches but Shamrock breaks the clinch
and Shamrock counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Shamrock to acknowledge the strikes.
Shamrock uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.

Jones forces Shamrock back against the cage and clinches.

Jones is trying to force a seperation but Shamrock has the dominant position.

Shamrock lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Shamrock prevents Jones from standing back up.

Shamrock is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jones shrugs it off.

Jones is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Shamrock wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well.
Shamrock is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shamrock on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Shamrock is dominant here and he's now got Jones's back!
