Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicanor Veloso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beast Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veloso tries to clinch but Baker moves out of range.
Baker works Veloso's body with a nice hook.
Veloso blocks a head kick by Baker.
Baker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Veloso circles away quickly and effectively.
Baker keeps the fight on the outside.
Veloso tries to clinch up.

Veloso instigates a clinch.
Veloso lands an uppercut.

Baker breaks the clinch.
Veloso tries to close the distance and clinch but Baker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Baker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Baker scores with a nice right hand.
Baker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Veloso checks a leg kick.
A punch combination from Baker misses.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Baker.
Veloso throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Baker makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Veloso closes the distance but Baker moves to the side

and Baker counters with a head kick that drops Veloso to the mat! Veloso scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

and Baker makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Veloso is breathing heavily.
Baker throws a head kick that misses.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Baker!
Veloso closes the distance looking to clinch
and Baker counters with a left to the body.
Baker with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Veloso tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Baker swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Veloso.
Baker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Baker connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Baker tests Veloso's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Baker dips to his left and cracks Veloso with an uppercut!
Veloso wants to clinch but Baker slips to the side
and Baker counters with a slapping leg kick.
Baker moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Baker's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Baker duly obliges.
Baker throws a quick inside leg kick.
Beast Baker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baker cracks Veloso with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Baker scoring well with a low kick there.
Baker has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Baker throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Veloso.
Nice jab there from Baker.

Baker throws a left and a right that both miss
and Veloso counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Veloso takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
No joy there for Baker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Veloso tries to clinch but Baker moves away
and Baker counters with a good, hard body kick but Veloso shrugs it off.

Baker throws a right and a left that both miss.
A nice combination there by Baker.
Baker feints and then cracks Veloso's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Veloso down.

Baker lands a big head kick that sends Veloso tumbling to the mat! Baker takes a step backwards and waves Veloso back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Veloso is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Baker throws a nice inside leg kick.

Baker is looking to slow Veloso down with leg kicks.
Veloso seems to have got his legs back now.
Baker lands with a slapping head kick.
Baker throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Veloso stumbling backwards into the cage! Veloso bounces back off the cage towards Baker, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Baker lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Baker celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
