Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butler is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fuck You. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Butler!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nogueira cracks Butler with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Butler uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nogueira tries to close the distance and clinch but Butler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Butler jabs at Nogueira's body.
Butler swats away the attempt to clinch by Nogueira.
Butler throws a shot to the body.
Nogueira throws a solid leg kick but Butler takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nogueira.
Antonio Nogueira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nogueira has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Nogueira is looking to clinch.
Butler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Butler throws a series of strikes that have Nogueira backpedaling.
Nogueira fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nogueira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Butler is fending him off so far but Nogueira persists. Nope, Butler circles away and we're back to standing.
Nogueira will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Butler lands a body shot.
Nogueira throws and low kick but Butler moves out of range easily.
Nogueira is looking to clinch but Butler is avoiding it.
Butler's corner calls for a 1-2. Butler obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nogueira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Butler circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Nogueira. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nogueira is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Butler wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nogueira fails with an attempt to clinch.
Butler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Butler connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nogueira momentarily.
Nogueira misses with a leg kick.
Butler lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


Nogueira is rocked!
Butler circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Nogueira to the canvas! Nogueira doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Butler keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Butler!
