Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Pendous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seiji Oyanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oyanagi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kurt Angle Theme Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Stu Pendous has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stu Pendous!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seiji Oyanagi!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oyanagi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pendous.
Oyanagi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Pendous counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Pendous scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Pendous throwing shots but Oyanagi is blocking nicely.
Pendous looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Oyanagi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Pendous not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Oyanagi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Pendous throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Oyanagi is looking for a sweep. Pendous is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oyanagi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pendous is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pendous postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pendous drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Oyanagi dives on top into guard.

Oyanagi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Pendous is looking to improve his position but Oyanagi isn't that keen on the idea.

Oyanagi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pendous is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pendous accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pendous thows a big elbow that misses.
Pendous has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Oyanagi is trying to keep Pendous in close.

Pendous trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Oyanagi trying to keep a closed guard but Pendous is proving a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pendous is not content to let Oyanagi control the position.

Oyanagi decides to stand back up.

Oyanagi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pendous is trying to defend but Oyanagi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Seiji Oyanagi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pendous shoots and misses

Pendous cracks Oyanagi with a big right hand but Oyanagi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Check out the look on Pendous's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Oyanagi is trying to buck Pendous off.
Oyanagi is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Oyanagi takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Pendous scoring with punches and elbows.
Pendous cracks Oyanagi with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Pendous tries to advance to mount but can't.

Pendous looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Oyanagi avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Pendous.

Pendous swings around for an armbar but Oyanagi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pendous's guard.
Stu Pendous overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Oyanagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Pendous is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pendous can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Oyanagi controls the pace.
Pendous wants to get back to his feet but Oyanagi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Seiji Oyanagi.
I think Oyanagi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
