Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christian Courage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels moves into the clinch.

Daniels gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Daniels is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Courage is defending well for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Courage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Daniels manages to avoid it.
Daniels scores with a one two! Courage had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Daniels tries to clinch up but Courage circles away and keeps his distance.
Daniels throws a combination. Courage tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Daniels is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Courage dodges the punch combination from Daniels.

Daniels rushes Courage and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Daniels manages to break the clinch.
Courage throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Courage fails with a takedown attempt.
Courage avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Courage on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Daniels. Daniels obviously looking to wear him down.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Courage is defended easily by Daniels.

Courage has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Daniels is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Daniels throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Courage blocks it with crossed arms.

Daniels is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Courage is defending well for now.
Courage has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Daniels dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Courage has a takedown stuffed.
Daniels closes the distance but Courage moves to the side

and Courage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Courage pushes down on Daniels's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Daniels is staying active underneath Courage, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Courage seems to be looking for submissions.
Courage sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Daniels defending well though.
Courage throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Daniels trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Courage lands a heavy elbow.
Courage throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Courage is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Daniels is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Courage counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Courage is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Daniels doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Courage.
Daniels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Courage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Courage thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Daniels's head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Courage is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Daniels!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daniels wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Courage.
Courage forces the positional change into back control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christian Courage dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Courage tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Daniels paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Courage looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daniels is fending him off so far but Courage persists. Nope, Daniels circles away and we're back to standing.

and Courage counters with a nice double leg into side control. Daniels won't be happy with that.

and Daniels counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Daniels.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Courage using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Daniels has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Daniels lands a good knee to the midsection. Courage won't want to take too many of those.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Courage lands with a kick to the temple. Daniels shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Daniels holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Daniels has had enough of the clinch but Courage keeps him there for the moment.
Courage has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Daniels avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
