Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Maydugo trying to control here.

Liddell wanted to stand there but Maydugo had control of the position.
Maydugo is trying to control the position but Liddell postures up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Maydugo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Liddell is looking to stand up but Maydugo won't let him.
Maydugo manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Maydugo fails with the takedown
and Liddell moves into the clinch.
Liddell gets control of Maydugo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Liddell will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Maydugo forces his way into half guard.
Liddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maydugo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Liddell looks gassed!
Maydugo is looking for a kimura but Liddell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Maydugo to get the leverage.
Maydugo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Liddell is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
