The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burks looks for a takedown but Cringe sprawls well.
Cringe swats away the attempt to clinch by Burks.
Cringe connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Cringe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burks was well out of range. Poor timing from Cringe.
Burks misses with a looping right.
Burks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Burks moves in looking to clinch but Cringe pushes him off.
Burks keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cringe.
Cringe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Burks sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A jab from Cringe misses.
Cringe throws the left hand but Burks avoids the punch easily.
Burks circles away from the clinch attempt

and Burks moves into the clinch.
Cringe lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Cringe is struggling to control the position.
Cringe is trying to force a seperation but Burks has the dominant position.

Cringe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burks is defended easily by Cringe.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephan Burks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Burks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cringe circles away quickly and effectively.

Cringe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Burks shoots in and drives through. Cringe sprawls well.
Cringe fails to land with a series of punches.
Cringe misses with the combination.
Cringe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Burks closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cringe circles away.
Burks takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Burks is breathing heavily.
Cringe cracks Burks with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cringe lands the left hand.
Burks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cringe moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Burks is rocked!
Cringe lands a brutal uppercut that launches Burks off his feet! Burks tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
