Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between shax fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Haven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, shax fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Haven!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haven throws a head kick but fighter moves out of range.
Haven shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts fighter as he jumps to the side.
fighter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Haven.
Danga de danga de dang - Haven scores with a four punch combination!
fighter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Haven counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Haven lands a right hook to the body.
Haven throws out a leg kick but fighter moves out of range and Haven only half commits.
fighter throws a big shot that misses.
fighter misses with a double jab
and Haven cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Haven misses with a leg kick.

Haven takes the fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
fighter missing with knees to the body.

fighter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
fighter wants to clinch
and Haven counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
fighter slips a jab and a cross from Haven.
Haven lands a right hook to the body.
Good work by fighter as he checks the leg kick.

Haven rushes fighter and presses him up against the cage.

Haven breaks the clinch.
Haven fails in his attempt to clinch.
fighter wants to clinch but Haven slips to the side
and Haven counters with an outside leg kick.
Haven scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Haven counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Haven throws a series of punches but fighter moves out of range.
Haven tries to clinch

and fighter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
fighter is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
fighter stops Haven from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Haven makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Haven misses with a double jab.
Haven moves into range and connects with a jab.

Haven shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Haven content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Haven escapes and gets back to his feet.

and Haven makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

and Haven counters with a straight right hand.

letting Haven counter with a right hand.

fighter closes the distance looking to clinch

and Haven counters with a shoot takedown. fighter fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
fighter wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Haven dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Haven throws a right hand that fighter ducks under and follows up with a left that fighter also avoids with ease.
Haven uses good head movement to avoid the hook from fighter.
Haven fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Haven makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Haven scores with a push kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Haven.

and Haven counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in fighter's guard now.
fighter working a defensive guard but Haven passes into half guard.
fighter tries to roll over but Haven keeps him under control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Haven is looking to advance position but fighter won't allow it.
Still in half guard, Haven seems content to control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Haven escapes and gets back to his feet.
fighter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Haven counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Haven is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Haven throws a nice inside leg kick.
Haven tries to clinch up but fighter circles away and keeps his distance.
Haven misses with a jab, cross combination.

Haven gets in close and instigates a clinch.
fighter looking for a takedown.

Haven pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Haven shoots in and bounces fighter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

fighter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Haven controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Haven stands up and waves to fighter to follow him.
Haven is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down fighter rather than just go for the knockout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Haven connects with a solid leg kick.

Haven closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Haven is looking for a takedown up against the cage. fighter gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
fighter wants to break the clinch but can't.
fighter is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Haven is keeping busy.

Haven breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
fighter misses with the body kick
and Haven counters with a lovely straight right hand!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Haven showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Haven lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Haven fails with a takedown attempt.
Haven misses with a few strikes there.

Haven bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
fighter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Haven wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Haven has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Haven scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Haven moves into range and clinches up with fighter.
fighter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Haven's efforts to push away.

fighter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
fighter doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Haven counters with a nice double leg into side control. fighter won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on fighter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
fighter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Haven's best efforts.
Haven takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Haven gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
shax fighter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Haven fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt fighter.
Haven goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Haven pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Haven wants to clinch up but fighter keeps it at a distance.
Haven scores with a three punch combo!
Haven is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Haven clinches with his opponent.

Haven tightens his grip and picks fighter up, before dumping him to the ground. fighter manages to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
fighter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

fighter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Haven controls the pace.
fighter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
fighter seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
fighter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Haven tries to stand but fighter is controlling from the bottom.
fighter being controlled here, momentarily.
shax fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James Haven is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

fighter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Haven defends well.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Haven comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Haven has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
