Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aima Hei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is In The Morning. Aima Hei will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses the shot to the body.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hei throws a body punch but Smith moves out of range.

Hei throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hei takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.

Smith shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hei is looking for a sweep. Smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hei gets full guard.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hei swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hei manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smith manages to get himself to full guard.
Hei not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Smith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hei defends it easily.

Smith can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hei controls the pace.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Hei wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hei connects with a nice short shot to Smith's temple.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hei has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hei lands a left hand that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Smith swings wildly with an uppercut but Hei uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hei breaks from the clinch.
Smith takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Hei scoring well with a low kick there.
Hei throws a good cross that connects.
Smith takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hei thumps Smith with a low kick.
Smith tries to move into range but Hei moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Smith is rocked!
Smith slips a straight right by Hei.
Hei buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hei scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hei fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Smith walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hei tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hei misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hei turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Smith seems to have got his legs back now.
Hei uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.
Smith tries to clinch up
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hei fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hei lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hei.
Smith tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hei counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hei thumps Smith with a low kick.
Aima Hei seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hei dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!
Hei with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Smith has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hei finds it's way round the side to connect with Smith's head.
Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hei.

Hei buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hei fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Hei drops Smith with a right and a left! Hei comes rushing in but Smith regains his composure and manages to keep Hei in guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hei's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Aima Hei has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hei loads up on a big left hand. Smith felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hei looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Smith can't hide his disappointment, as Hei celebrates the victory.
